I use a program on my cellphone called Loopt.com I think its a tad bit better than twitter because you can add photos to a journal and it uses triangulation of cellphone towers to approximate your location and you can share that information to your friends. It even has an alert when you get with in 5 or 25 miles of a friend. Great for a quick cup of coffee meet up.
