Boat Sales.......

The sales numbers are in from from September 2008. Preliminary new boat sales at dealers in Washington indicate that things are (at least) not getting worse from a units sold standpoint; they were down 26% compared to a year ago. This compares with 40-59% from earlier this year. So maybe things are finally close to bottoming out. The other point is that the yards are staying busy with customers fixing and upgrading equipment on their boats, as well as getting ready for winter cruising, so the marine industry is far from dead.
