Depoe Bay on the central Oregon coast claims to be the world's smallest harbor ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Depoe_Bay,_Oregon ) - its entrance is just a (very small) hole in the rocky coast line and any vessel wishing to enter the harbor has to time its run with the tide surge...trust me...it's a piece of work...the quick dog-leg is a real thrill.
